It is easy to get overwhelmed by all of the “Mom To Do’s” on top of work, and household responsibilities. Creating a fun schedule can help when you feel disorganized and stressed out, and is a great way to gain control. For example, Motivation Monday can be a day where you meditate, read scripture, or try something new like a dance class. Tuesdays can be a day where you focus on all of the necessary tasks like paying bills, returning that shirt your kid didn’t like, buying the list of requests for the bake sale, or any other errands that are so easily procrastinated.

Fridays or possibly Saturday morning is a great day to squeeze in some “me time” with a manicure, massage, or hair appointment. Whatever time and budget allow. Be creative. Even a quick walk in the park does wonders for your well-being.

When I block my tasks into chunks, it makes me more efficient. I used to believe I was getting a lot of things done, and really I was just driving around a lot and checking my email way too much!

Task blocking and Day Theming are excellent skills to check out and start practicing for a more organized life.

Try it and see if it helps make you feel more at peace and focused.
